Gokudo
Review:

Gokudo's dream.
Gokudo, what will you do next?It isn't often that an anime gets both protagonist and evil overlord points from the same character, but Gokudo deserves it. Wickedly funny, the title chacter, Gokudo, is inventive and wickedly straightforward in his quest for women and money. He is followed in this quest by a genie, an archer princess, and a mage, much to his chagrin. While the scale of Gokudo's crimes are usually petty, they're amusing. Gokudo is simply the type of person that would literally steal candy from a baby - and run into trouble doing it.
The visual style of Gokudo is disarming at first - the series looks cheap, but it's clear from the detail put into the characters and scenes that it's actually top-notch work. To proclaim this as loudly as possible, the opening includes several stunning sequences.
Gokudo's schemes and actions lead to surprising results which are still believable within the context of the anime's universe. In one episode, Gokudo causes the downfall of two different religious pantheons simply by trying to steal an item.
