Arjuna

Review:

Radical environmentalists inject random substances into their veins, produce anime; Arjuna is the result. Chris and Cindy are telepaths working for a shady underground government that isn't afraid to commit genocide; they resurrect Juna, deify her, fail to give her any training in her new role as secret agent/goddess, leave her in the woods without supplies to learn survival skills, then berate her for being stupid and not doing her job right over the course of ten episodes or so while discussing complex philosophical ideas as cryptically and self-righteously as possible. The ending is unintentionally humorous. Top-notch soundtrack by Yoko Kanno show once again that she can do no wrong - except when she's signing contracts.
