Last Exile
Steampunk is a term used to describe technology that generally stays at the level of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. This classy anime definitely falls into that category, with steam-powered airships large and small duking it out with steam-powered cannons. The series follows a pair of likable teenage airborne message couriers (Claus and Lavie) as they get involved with a plot to discover the secret of Exile, considered to be the most powerful item on their world.
