Hellsing

Alucard (read it backwards) the vampire works for the Hellsing Organization, whose mission is to seek and destroy vampires. Religious conflict between Protestants and Catholics is an issue in this series, and not one handled with much tact; if the blood and guts don’t offend, that might. Nonetheless, Hellsing is engaging from its interesting musical score to the characters that define it. Victoria, the main character, is a former cop turned vampire/vampire hunter under Alucard’s tutelage who struggles with her new demonic self.
